FACT FINDING INVESTIGATION ON BIODIESEL BLEND
Alexandria, VA The interchangeability of B5 Biodiesel blend within residential burners was recently tested at Underwriters Laboratories Inc. This Fact Finding Investigation was performed to develop data on: material compatibility of B5 Biodiesel blend with equipment in residential oil-fired heating appliances, B5 Biodiesel blend combus-tion characteristics, and general performance comparisons between B5 Biodiesel blend and No. 2 fuel oil. This study was funded by the National Oilheat Research Alliance and the National Biodiesel Board.
